LPF APPOINTS NEW REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES

New Reps for Central & Southwest Florida Appointed

Winter Park, Florida - The Libertarian Party of Florida (LPF) held its monthly Executive Committee meeting in Orlando yesterday and elected John Wayne Smith of Leesburg and Ken Morris of Ft. Myers regional representatives for Region 3 and Region 8 respectively.

John Wayne Smith ran for Florida governor in 2006 and received over 15,000 votes. LPF Chairman, Karl Dickey said, “JW Smith is a hard worker for the Party and will be great for the growth in central Florida's region 3.”

Ken Morris is retired and living on Ft. Myers Beach. Mr. Dickey stated this morning, “Ken is an impressive addition the the Libertarian Party of Florida team and welcome him aboard. I look forward to see him develop Collier and Charlotte counties into active affiliates.”

The job of being a regional representative for a region in the Libertarian Party of Florida is to oversee and assist our active county affiliates and to develop inactive counties in their region. Being a regional representative also puts one on the Libertarian Party of Florida Executive Committee and they submit monthly reports to the committee as to activity happening within their region.

The Executive Committee meets monthly via teleconference and in-person quarterly.
